About Me
Hi, I’m Kimberly, the creator of My Book of Me. For more than 20 years, my work has centered on helping people and organizations become more fully who they’re capable of being. I’ve worked in education, nonprofit leadership, communications, and with organizations supporting women and survivors of gender-based violence, and I’m a Positive Psychology Practitioner. Across all of those experiences, I’ve seen how powerful it can be to have the space to explore who we are, what matters to us, and what makes us uniquely ourselves.
I created My Book of Me because I wanted girls to have that space before the pressure to fit in gets louder. Before other people’s ideas about who they should be start drowning out their own. I also wanted them to experience the power of doing it alongside other girls — listening to one another, cheering each other on, discovering how much they have in common, and learning that other girls can be a source of connection and support rather than comparison. There’s something powerful about being given the space to be yourself and discovering that you can belong there, too.
More than anything, I genuinely love getting to know girls for exactly who they are. My favorite part of this work is listening to what they have to say, seeing what makes each of them light up, and creating a space where they feel comfortable being completely themselves. I want every girl to leave knowing that her thoughts, feelings, strengths, and voice matter, and with a little more appreciation for the fierce, wonderful person she already is.
